Maria Antonia Schmidt (DE) completed her master’s degree in 2016 at the Department of Experimental Radio at the Bauhaus University Weimar. From 2006 on, she toured for 10 years as a singer with her band „Chapeau Claque“ successfully throughout Germany and has since released four albums. Her audio plays received several awards. Including the 1st prize and 2nd prize of the Hoer.Spiel 2010/11, the Szlâbbész 2014 and a nomination for the Prix Pierre Schaeffer. In 2017, she was awarded the »Media Art Award of the Bauhaus University Weimar« for her master’s thesis. Among other things, she produces cultural reports for Deutschlandfunk and currently lives as a freelance media artist in Weimar.
